CD Woods has been in the music industry for over 25 years.
His performances have led him all over the United States and Canada
singing songs of true-to-life experiences. CD Woods' new album Over
Again has been in the works since 1997, when he released his Turn
of the Keys debut that scored high on the European Country Music
Association charts a couple of years ago.
With each successive project, the long time Colorado resident has shown
a lyrical style that fits neatly into mainstream country radio and captures
the moments of every day life. From the Turn of the Keys
project, he has written hit songs like Starlight, Starbright that evoke
deep emotion using lyrics that barely allow you to hold back a tear.
Whimsical melodies such as Honey Do tells a story of the average guy
going home to the honey-do list that his wife made up for the weekend.
Over Again combines the artist's passion for thoughtful
lyrics and soothing melodies using guitar, mandolin and fiddle. You
won't find drums on this project, but the melodies carry themselves
with driving vocals with outstanding harmonies intermixed. You are immediately
greeted with the warmth of Woods voice in a heartfelt song with the
lead off of All I Promise You.
Then calypso into Bailing the Boat and Borderline Day, two songs with
a Jimmy Buffet style sound that will make you forget about any problems
of the day. The title track Over Again is a classic about a cowboy with
a positive attitude lyric that sound like the Sons of the Pioneers are
in your living room singing lyrics like Over again, I'll take it on
the chin - lovin' the life I lead. This well-rounded project will give
you a soothing, elegant connection between the country and folk sound
of CD Woods. |
