"Dreams"

When I started this web site, I had a dream that this site would become the center point of information about acoustic music; that information about performances and venues and supporting businesses would go out from this site; that information about potential gigs and venues and promotional opportunities would come in through this web site.

I had a reason to believe that this would happen. I saw it happen on the Colorado Bluegrass Music Society (CBMS) web site. I took over that site almost 5 years ago. It was getting less than 10 hits per month. In January, it got almost 14,000. It became THE place to go to find out what's happening in bluegrass music. It also became a place that folks who want to hire bands and/or provide promotional opportunities could go to find bands.

I hoped that this web site would provide the same service to acoustic musicians within the first two years. That was my dream.

Well, I'm pleased to announce that it's already happening. We're starting to be the funnel for information coming in and going out.

We're not yet as big as the CBMS site, but we're doing well in the search engines and we're still growing. We got over 2,000 hits in March!

And, I want to thank all of you, members and visitors, for making it happen.
