Marlo is a singer, songwriter, guitar player, guitar teacher, performer, and owner of Olde Town Music. At the very least, he is versatile.
He performs solo, and in a variety of configurations playing a variety of music, under the name "Snake Oil" (as a duo, trio, country band, or swing orchestra).
His musical influences include Hal Ketcham, Steve Earle, Rodney Crowell, Paul Simon, and Michael Franks.
He teaches guitar lessons at his store, Olde Town Music, and at Olde Town Pickin' Parlor in Arvada. In addition, Marlo also does instrument repairs in his store. He likes the quiet time spent repairing older instruments.
