Bluegrass Singing
Learn a variety of standard bluegrass songs as well as techniques for singing in a manner appropriate to the style. Focus on melody singing, technique, and bluegrass harmony. For singer who can carry a melody and are comfortable singing solo. This class is taught "by ear" so please bring a recording device of some sort and a notepad to jot down information.

Multi-instrumentalist Ernie Martinez will use this ensemble setting to show string players ways of borrowing ideas from other instruments to move your playing forward.           Hook, Rhyme & Singer — A Songwriting Experience
The three main elements of a great song are the hook (the thing that makes us crave listening to the song again and again), the message of the lyrics and an unforgettable melody. This course will address all three in a hands-on environment where you can learn about what makes a song great and write your own hit song to perform on week four in front of the class.
